Before you start
Availability: Plan and role requirements vary. Enabled business features, role permissions, connected providers and supported devices may add requirements.
Documented roles: Owner, Office, Team. A role name alone does not override the permissions set by your business.
Where to find it: Alerts and notification history.
Sign into the intended account and business. Notifications belong to their recipient.
Step by step
- Open Alerts and review the notification type, time and linked work.
- Open the notification to inspect the source record. Access to that record still depends on your current permission.
- Use Mark read, Mark unread, Dismiss or Clear where shown to manage your own inbox. Read status does not complete the underlying task.
Worked example
A worker opens an unread job alert, checks the linked job and marks the alert read. They still perform the required job action separately; marking an alert read does not complete that work.
This is an illustrative scenario. Use your own approved scope, quantities, rates and business rules.
Check the result
Reopen the original record or confirmed result, check its business and key values, and resolve any error or uncertain response before repeating the action.
Limits and troubleshooting
Clearing an inbox does not delete jobs or resolve the action described. Push delivery depends on device and notification settings.
