Review document currency and GST from mobile
Check the correct business, saved document currency and configured GST before sending a quote or invoice.
Before you start
Sign into the business that owns the quote, invoice or agreement and check that it is the one you intend. The document’s saved currency and the business GST settings control the amounts; the phone location and the public website region do not. Opening a guide does not grant quote, invoice or settings permission.
Plan eligibility, business features, permissions and device support still apply. Reading a guide does not grant access.
Step by step
- Check the signed-in business before opening a document. Changing the public website region does not switch the active business, its currency or its GST settings.
- Open the saved quote or invoice and its customer preview or PDF where offered. Check the customer and document number first.
- Check the saved three-letter currency code, such as AUD for an Australian business or NZD for a New Zealand business; a dollar symbol alone does not identify it. Then check the subtotal, the configured GST label, rate and inclusive or exclusive basis, and the final total.
- Collect GST only when the business is registered and GST applies. Do not guess a rate or enter one just to clear a message. If the app cannot show or change a required setting, open the same record in the same business through the signed-in web workspace. Do not change the business country to force a currency or tax.
- Return to the app and reopen or refresh the same saved document to confirm the result. If a save or send response is uncertain, refresh the original record instead of creating a replacement quote or invoice.
Worked example
An office user in a New Zealand business opens a saved invoice before emailing it. They check NZD, the expected subtotal, the configured GST label, rate and exclusive basis, and the final total. The example does not prescribe a rate or establish that GST applies to a supply.
This is an illustrative scenario, not a customer testimonial.
Check the result
Reopen the original saved document and check its business, currency, subtotal, GST and total. Saving, sending, payment and accounting export are separate events. Existing country, provider, role and plan restrictions continue to apply.
Limits and troubleshooting
- If the currency or GST settings look wrong, ask an authorised owner to check the business settings on the web, then review the saved document itself rather than assuming current settings were applied to it.
- A saved document or service agreement that uses component taxes can still show Review invoice taxes on the web or Open tax review. Follow that review for the same record and business in the signed-in web workspace and keep its saved tax policy; do not replace its taxes with current GST settings. This exception does not add a separate tax review to ordinary GST quotes or invoices.
- Customer invoice GST is separate from tax on your AllQuote subscription. This guide is not tax advice.
